This is Finnish Exchange Student culture at its finnest. Each country is different with their exchange student culture. Germany, drinks. We camp.
We are a family and I believe this so strongly I can't tell you any different.

Above is the bus of exchange students on the way to the airport
Now looking back over these, there are none of the new kids. Mostly we got there and hung out. I brought hats and gloves to give to the kids. We found who was in our district and welcomed them here. How sad would it be to get off of a plane and have no one there for you? I was one of the few kids which made it out the next day as well to greet them.
After they arrived, the went off to their Karrkuu. Ah the memories. And we all went back to center like we usually do.
The new ones came. We said two things "Welcome home" "welcome to the Family"
