The Summer Cottage: home away from home away from home

When we arrived, I was taken back by the freshness. It was the most purest beauty I have ever seen. I spent the weekend waking up to fresh mushroom coffee and fresh picked blue berries with yogurt. Also a morning swim! Through out the days we picked berries, hiked, sauana, swam, laughed, played cards and games, and cooked.  It was only there for relaxation and peace.

I would spend time watching the sail boats in the distance or observing the fishing nets being brought in and sorted. There was no electricity or running water.

I learned how to play french rummy and many card tricks.

woke up the first morning to laughter and this

I was walking back from the shore and I hear "Annesku!! Fish! Eat"

Meet Lionell- He was born and raised in France where he was a fireman. He then one day fell for a Finnish woman and followed her to Finland (he then married her) But he was the first street performer in Helsinki. He has been awarded a metal from the government for his teaching. He teaches at a circus school (I have been invited to attend) He is also the founder of the Finnish Association of Jugglers. He is a good friend to me.

Since Finnish humor is different than the rest of the planet, we understood each other very well. The jokes we shared and more the understanding of the struggles we both are going though helped me a lot with realizing that it okay to feel out of place. He kept telling me "Anything is Possible if you look"

I also met a good friend here named Elisa. She is a host cousin (I am not completely sure if that makes sense) but she and I ran through the woods, got lost, found a old growth pine forest, and she taught me how to be Finnish. Friends are everywhere.
